Aaahhhh, the joys of summer. Swimming and ice cream. Apple pie and baseball. Wife and kids sleeping late (while I head off to work). 108 degrees in the shade. (Sorry for the negativity on those last two "joys".)
Our entire summer can be summed up in two words: DISNEY WORLD. Our summer plans are this:
1. Getting to Disney World
2. Finding a way to pay for Disney World
3. Coming home from Disney World
4. Recovering from Disney World
5. Did I mention finding a way to pay for Disney World?
We went a few years back and my most vivid memory was my son crying for an hour when we told him we were headed back to Abilene the next day. He really thought we had moved into the park! He was so disappointed…probably because it truly is the most wonderful place in on earth.
In all seriousness, if there were one thing I would love to do this summer, it would be to sell our house and move into the neighborhood we believe God has called us to minister. But if you read my previous post, you know there’s this whole “God’s Timing” thing. So we rest in Him, knowing that He has a plan and His timing is perfect…”Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord” and I can feel us all getting stronger.
