Who do you think you are?

This is a great question that deserves a humble, yet bold response.

If asked of me, I am a....

Son. Husband. Dad. Friend. A strong superhero who can lift a whole house above his head (this is according to my daughter, who is 6).

But also I am a person who lacks self-confidence, is often overwhelmed , and who likes being alone, but always needs someone to help him do things. I am weak, can't speak, can't sing, can't blog.

But consider this:

"Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”
1 Corinthians 1:26-32

Who do I think I am?

I am nothing but a weak fool, but in Christ I am who he made me to be! Forgiven. An Overcomer. Strong. Outspoken. Confident. Proclaimer of the Word. Friend of the friendless. OpenHanded.
